Mature Student Test Request

Assessment Fee Information

The fee for your assessment depends on your application status. Please review the categories below to find your rate.

1. Direct Assessment Requests

We process these requests directly. Fees are due prior to writing the test.

  • Applicants ($20): This rate applies if you have an active, submitted application to a Canadore College program.
  • Non-Applicants ($75): This external testing fee applies if you have not yet applied to the college. Please note: if you submit an application before you write your test the fee will drop to $20

2. Partnership Programs

Our partner institutions oversee their own testing administration and may not charge a fee. We will automatically forward your information to them to finalize your testing process.

  • Partner Institute Applicants: If you applied to one of our partner institutions, your request will be forwarded to the institutional contact.
  • Community Based Partnerships: If you have applied to a Canadore program through a community partnership, your request will be forwarded to the program contact.

Please select your course

Please select up to three courses that you require a Mature Student assessment for. Virtual Testing Eligibility

Applicants who are unable to commute to a Canadore campus will be permitted to write their Mature Student Accuplacer test online through Microsoft Teams. Please note that this option is restricted to students who do not live in the area. Students will need to have a computer with a working camera and microphone. You are not able to complete this assessment using a phone or tablet.

Mature Student Testing (MST) Guidelines & Acknowledgments - Canadore Applicant

Please review the guidelines for booking your Mature Student Assessment.

  • Scheduling: I understand that once my application has been reviewed and approved, I will receive a booking link via email to select the date and time for my assessment.
  • Assessment Fees I acknowledge that because I have an active application to a Canadore College program, the assessment fee is $20. I agree to pay this fee before writing my test.
  • Testing Platform & Validity I understand that testing is completed on a computer using the ACCUPLACER platform. My assessment results will remain valid for two application years (for example, testing completed for the 2026–2027 academic year is valid for both the 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 cycles).
  • Re-write & Retake Policy I acknowledge that I may attempt most assessments up to three times per admission period if I am unsuccessful on my first attempt (this includes my initial test plus a maximum of two re-writes with a valid application).
  • Result Limits & Admissions I understand that these results are used for Canadore College applications only and are non-transferable. They are not equivalent to the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) and cannot be used outside of Canadore. I also acknowledge that meeting the assessment requirements does not guarantee an offer of admission, as all program-specific criteria must still be met.
  • Arrival & Timing I agree to arrive on campus at least 10 minutes prior to my scheduled start time. To maintain a fair and secure testing environment, late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
  • Personal Belongings & Electronics I understand that all electronic devices and personal items must be securely stored prior to and during the assessment.
  • Campus & Testing Space Safety I acknowledge that only registered testing candidates are permitted inside the testing room. Guests and children are not allowed in the testing area, and children cannot be left unattended anywhere on campus during the assessment.
  • Cancellations & Rescheduling I agree to provide at least 48 hours' notice if I need to cancel or reschedule. Failing to do so will result in forfeiting my fee. Cancellations made with more than 48 hours' notice are eligible for a refund, minus a $20 administration fee.
