Apprenticeship Exemption Test

Please complete this form to schedule an Apprenticeship Exemption Test
This would have been provided to you when you signed your Training agreement with the Ministry and your Employer sponsor
Please note: exams are only scheduled Monday through Friday and the date you suggest must be at least 5 business days after the date you submit this form.

Required Documentation for Test Day

Before entering the exam room, you'll be required to present:

  1. Your Social Insurance Card/Document (original*), and
  2. One piece of valid government-issued photo ID (original)*
  • Acceptable forms of photo ID include: 
    • Driver's license, 
    • Canadian or foreign passport, 
    • Ontario photo card, 
    • Status of First Nations Card
    • Permanent Resident Card. 

Ontario law forbids Canadore College from requesting that candidates present their Ontario Photo Health Cards. Candidates voluntarily presenting their Ontario Photo Health Card as proof of identification will be accepted.

*Photocopies or electronic copies of the above documents will NOT be accepted. If you're not able to show the required original documents before the exam time, you'll be asked to reschedule. 

There are absolutely no exceptions, if you are unable to present the documentation you will be asked to reschedule

AET - Terms and Conditions

I acknowledge that I am compliant with the rewrite policy of having not repeated the same exam within 3 months (or 15 days for the Asbestos Abatement Worker/Supervisor test, Mobile Crane Operator (0-8 ton) test, and Foundation Drill Rig Operator test). 

Successful results obtained inappropriately (for example by rewrite within 15 days) will be rejected.

The fee to write an Apprenticeship Exemption Test is $169.50 ($150+HST). I acknowledge that this fee is non-refundable, and failure to comply with the rewrite policy will result in forfeiture of fees.

I am at least 16 years of age.
